The Miller Family

Three Generations Working Together

Over the years, John C. Miller, Sr. has become one of the most respected community members. He has served local families in their time of need through his involvement in countless civic activities.

Today, he and his wife, Shirley, are proud to have three generations of family working together. Their daughters, Cynthia and Myra, have worked tirelessly for over 40 years, serving East Baton Rouge, West Feliciana, East Feliciana, and surrounding parishes. Granddaughters, Shelley, an attorney and licensed funeral director, and Kacey, an elementary school teacher and a funeral director intern, have recently come on board in part-time capacities. Brittain White, Shelley’s husband, works full-time and is an embalmer/funeral director intern. Now,  three generations of the Miller Family are working together to serve families in South Louisiana.

For years, John Miller has supported the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Zachary Committee by purchasing 100s of book bags for underprivileged school children; sponsored church broadcasts on a local radio station; distributed turkeys during the Thanksgiving season to needy families; supported the Zachary Chamber of Commerce by participating in their annual Christmas parade; financially supported Councilwoman Chauna Banks in the Scotlandville Christmas tree lighting and too many more to list. It’s no secret that he loves his community and is delighted to return blessings in any way possible.
